Chery Tiggo 8 Competes Again in the Taklimakan Rally
The 2024 Taklimakan Rally kicked off on May 20 in Kashgar, China's northwestern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The Chery Tiggo 8 team is participating in the mass-production vehicle category, using engines, transmissions, and body structures that are all standard production versions. This participation showcases the Chery Tiggo 8's exceptional performance and reliable quality. As the only team to win the gasoline mass production category with an urban compact SUV in the 2023 Taklimakan Rally, the Chery Tiggo 8 team is competing again this year. Whether they can defend their title and how their outstanding capabilities will be demonstrated has garnered much attention.
Chery South Africa has recorded its strongest sales month of the year in April, with 2,462 vehicles sold across its local model range. The result was driven by another standout performance from the Tiggo 4 Pro, which recorded 1,871 units in April, accounting for more than three-quarters of Chery’s monthly sales.
