Chery South Africa recently unveiled the next phase of its new energy vehicle strategy by previewing three diverse models: the Chery Q, Tiggo V, and KP31. Designed specifically with the local market in mind, these vehicles are built to handle a wide range of South African driving needs, from daily city commutes to off-grid outdoor work.

Chery Automobile Co. officially inaugurated its Rosslyn manufacturing plant in Pretoria, marking the brand's strategic transition from a vehicle importer to a local manufacturer in South Africa. This new facility underscores Chery's long-term commitment to the country, with plans to retain existing staff, generate nearly 3,000 new jobs, and commence initial vehicle production by mid-2027.
